It was so cold in the room even if the heating worked, the staff could individually control the heating system, so they were focused on economy, not on the comfort of the guests. We slept with two blankets on and we still felt cold. The water of the bathroom sink was cold as ice. It is the first guesthouse where we were asked to put on plastic bags over our shoes so we wouldn't get the carpets dirty (our shoes were clean and they wanted to save money on cleaning, too). I slipped on the stairs because of the plastic over my shoes. The owner persuaded us to cancel our booking on a booking site and he offered us a small discount for this, which was shady. We wanted to pay by card but the owner insisted that we pay with cash. We asked for a late check out (we would have paid for it since the room was still not booked by someone else) and the owner refused because he didn't want to call the cleaners some other time (they still didn't clean the room when we returned for our luggage). Overall, it was an unpleasant stay and we paid for basic comfort such as heating and we didn't receive it. Owners focused solely on profit. It was snowing outside. It felt as cold in the room as if we were outside.

This is an example of a very well run boutique hotel! The owners need to be congratulated. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly owner who made our trip more interesting with his advice & tips about the city, supermarkets, shops, restaurants and bars. The location is excellent, close to city centre, yet still in a quiet area. Everything inside is extremely clean and comfortable, the rooms are furnished with great taste, it just makes you feel really cosy. Downstairs is a nice terrace where we enjoyed our morning coffees while having a nice view to the mountains. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everybody! Thank you Mr. Albu for going that extra mile in order to make our stay so pleasant!
